Every year at the European Identity & Cloud conference a jury consisting of KuppingerCole analysts announces the winners of the EIC awards.
This year the Rabobank won with its Mobile Identification service because of its innovative use of NFC-based identity document verification. The category the jury selected was Best in IoT/OT, because of the chips in the identity documents.
This Mobile Identification service was developed by a joint team of Rabobank and Inverid (formerly known as InnoValor), and uses ReadID to verify the authenticity of passports, identity cards and driving licenses. Inverid also provides, via our partner iProov, the facial matching and liveness checking functionality. Our CEO Maarten Wegdam was invited on stage with the Rabobank representatives Henk Marsman and Martijn Hendriks to receive the award.
